Investigation A
For my technology project I will be making a gate which would be cheap, modern, useful, practical. As I saw the way people build their gates in ger district isn’t very practical and gates are made of bad material like; damaged wood, old metal slices, robber, plastic and material like that. Gates aren’t stabled with strong posts; usually the posts are made of old wood. Since I am doing this project in Mongolia I will try to make it more to Mongolian side traditionally and materially. I am not Mongolian so I will research for different designs to come up with the best one for Mongolian ger district situation. Also I will look forward for people who will use it so that they would use it with comfort.
The gates which I will design will be very cheap because of the material I will use to it. One of materials I am going to use is metal which mainly used for fences. It’s not going to cost a lot but the final view will be great. Materials I am going to use are very basic and can be found in any country. But the cost of materials I am going to use in different countries different. If people have enough money for wooden fence than they will have enough money for the gate I am planning to design.
My fence will be very simple in design and easy to build at the place where to place them. Materials you need are three cladding rolls each 2 meters, special hummer, special construction nails which are suitable for the hummer.
I will check my product on the computer by making the same design and proportions and putting it on to program called “phun”
Design of this gate is:
· Two 3meter metal posts on the sides.
· One 3meter post one meter away from one of the side post.
· In front two slices of cladding, 2 meter high and 1.5 meter weight each.
· On the back on each sides small metal sticks attached to each slice.
· Frame which holds everything together.
· I will show u on the diagram.

Evgenii criterion a
Making a difference!
The project is about ger districts which are located around the Ulaanbaatar. Most of Ulaanbaatar people live there in the gers or small undeveloped houses and there is over 800,000 people in ger districts. People who are there are very poor and can’t afford some ting in the actual city. Our project is mainly to do the help to the people who are living there by doing some hard job like digging the toilet or putting the fence also our project is to learn and understand the problems of ger districts. To learn how people using different material to build or work with.
I was expecting to learn a lot of new things about how people live in the ger district. People have a lot of problems life and their own land which they get when they turn 18.But people have to build fences to claim the land which the government provides to Mongolian citizens when they rich age of 18.Also to build the toilet by digging the whole, to provide some protection.
People who live in the ger district use all kind of technology and sometimes trash becomes very useful for the, for example somebody used car tire to balance the ger. or to make fences together with two families.Sometimes technology they use is not as good as it could develop.
People who were helping us to research were Troy tvrdik,Sukhee,Melanie Wilson, Dave Chilton, Flourishing future.
